Barramundi Fishing

We can provide Fishing Charters and local knowledge as well as current fishing information.

Other attractions to our property are the all year round private freshwater billabongs filled with barramundi, perch, cherrabin and the odd saltwater and freshwater crocodile.

Bushwalking

Bushwalking along tracks or through virgin terrain. View beautiful panoramic mountain views.

Billabongs

There are three private billabongs. One of the billabongs is covered with beautiful flowering lillies. Another has a pontoon which makes a perfect viewing platform for observing birds and wildlife.

Wildlife and Birdwatching

The Daly River Barra Resort is situated on acres of natural habitat for unique viewing of wildlife and bird watching. Wallabies come up to the camping grounds all year round to feed on the fresh green grass. Larger varieties of birds also frequent the campgrounds. Green Tree Frogs are also a common site in the evenings. The stunning natural surrounds of the Daly River which is a tidal fresh water river is home to abundant bird life, both fresh water and salt water crocodiles and of the mighty barramundi.

The Daly River Barra Resort is in close proximity to many Northern Territory attractions. These attractions are well signed and easy to find.

Litchfield National Park

The famous Ltchfield National Park is accessible in a conventional car from the Stuart Highway or from Daly River Road. This is a dry season 4WD only track that has a water crossing.

Douglas Daly Hot Springs

The Douglas Daly Hot Springs can be accessed via the Dorat Road Scenic Route.

Adelaide River

Adelaide River has significant WW2 heritage and a Rail Museum.

Merrepen Fine Art Gallery

The Merrepen Fine Art Gallery is situated in the Nauiyu Community and offer excellent traditional arts and crafts.
