Daly River Barra Charters is a small personalized fishing charter business on the beautiful Daly River. We operate out of the Daly River Barra Resort on Woolianna Rd,  but can pick up from any of the other caravan parks in the Daly River area.

We provide our clients with a professionally operated personalised / fun fishing experience. 
We cater for anglers of all levels, from absolute beginners to seasoned fishermen. Our highly experienced and very patient fishing guide will have you casting lures and catching fish in no time at all
We can cater for individuals, families, groups of mates, and small corporate groups.
To maximize our clients fishing comfort and safety it is our policy to fish with a maximum of 5 anglers per boat – per guide.

All charters are inclusive of

• Professional Guide in a custom built 7.0m action craft
• Morning Tea, and Refreshments
• Lunch & Snacks
• Quality fishing rods and tackle
• Lures and bait

All you need to bring with you is tropical style clothing or long sleeves, a hat preferably with a wide brim, sunscreen, a camera with plenty of film or memory, a sense of humor and we will provide the rest.

Fishing Equipment

We supply all fishing gear – on a replace if lost or damaged basis. Our fishing equipment is of a very high standard, we use only custom built graphite rods and reels and all our rigging is supplied by Wilson fishing tackle.-( if you would prefer you can bring your own rods, reels, lures etc as some of our regular client do)

Barramundi

The mighty Barramundi is the dominant fish species in the Daly River and has a well earned reputation of being the premium fighting fish in the Northern Territory. Barramundi are aggressive lure takers, and are caught all year but are traditionally most active in the warmer months from March-May and from September – December

Catch and Release

We actively promote 'catch and release' fishing. This means that all fish caught, that are surplus to immediate requirements, are released. Naturally, if you'd like to take a few fillets home with you as a memento of your trip, or for your evening meal you are most welcome to do so, all others will be released after having there photo taken, so that you may catch them again next time.

Boats and Motors

The custom built 7.0 meter GS Maction craft is fitted with a quiet 115hp four stroke motor. Our boat has colour sounder and GPS, satellite phone and full safety equipment including EPERB and first aid kits, the boat has fully carpeted floors, a spacious casting platform, comfortable padded swivel seats, rod and gear storage lockers, a shade canopy and of course a large esky.
